AVP, Marketing Strategic Initiatives
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic AVP, Marketing Strategic Initiatives to be a force multiplier for the Chief Marketing Officer and a key driver of transformation across the global Marketing organization. This is a high-impact role suited for a seasoned professional who blends operational excellence with strategic vision and change leadership.
You will operate at the intersection of executive decision-making, marketing strategy, and transformation deliveryensuring the seamless orchestration of initiatives that position the marketing function for future growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor and thought partner to the CMOhelping drive focus, clarity, and results.
- Lead the operating cadence for the CMO and Marketing Leadership Team (MLT), including staff meetings, business reviews, leadership offsites, and board prep.
- Manage prioritization of initiatives and decision support for the CMO to maximize leadership bandwidth and impact.
- Provide guidance on resourcing, org design, and internal communications to align teams with the evolving marketing agenda.
- Lead a high-impact shared services team to deliver cross-functional marketing initiatives with speed at scale and establish Marketing Centers of Excellence (COEs)
- Standardize processes and toolsets to increase speed to market, drive consistency, and optimize the marketing investment portfolio.
- Introduce and manage marketing KPIs and dashboards to enable visibility and accountability across teams.
- Build a forward-looking marketing roadmap that anticipates emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to build business cases for investment and performance tracking frameworks.
- Lead end-to-end orchestration of the marketing transformation programoperating as the "chief integrator" across workstreams.
- Coordinate high-priority change initiatives (e.g., MarTech upgrades, AI strategy, talent architecture, agile operating model).
- Champion organizational effectiveness effortsembedding agile ways of working and future-fit capability models.
- Serve as a change agent for embedding new processes, systems, and mindsets into the culture.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in strategy, marketing operations, transformation leadership, or management consulting.Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.Proven success in a Chief of Staff, Senior Marketing Leader, or Marketing Executive rolepreferably in a large, matrixed Fortune 500 organization.The ability to move seamlessly between high-level strategy and tactical execution, connecting marketing activities directly to core business outcomes.Deep understanding of modern enterprise marketing across brand, digital, customer insights, MarTech, and content ecosystems.Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and clearly articulate complex concepts across all levels of the organization.Skilled in organizational change, cross-functional collaboration, and transformation delivery.Experience designing or scaling shared services or CoEs.Demonstrated comfort with AI, digital innovation, and emerging marketing technologies.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, translate metrics into actionable insights, and make informed, data-driven decisions.Compensation

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
