    We are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team! As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the restaurants operational performance during your shift. You will supervise (front of house) staff, be responsible for enhancing the customer experience, grow sales year over year and delegate duties to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with 3-4 years of restaurant experience in the front of house and has been a supervisor for 1-2 years.

    The Brewery is a destination in the Lansing Area because of the location (near 127 and I69), the renovated historic building, beer garden, delicious food and craft beverages and our Awesome Team that delivers unbelievable service. Our space features a full kitchen run by Chef Moyer, a brewing area (we make our own beer, cider, seltzer and wine), with 99 seat capacity in main dining / bar, 70+ seats in the Beer Garden & a private room downstairs that seats 30 guests

    The FOH Supervisor works with the Kitchen Manager, FOH Manage, FOH Supervisors & Owners to provide exceptional customer service. The right candidate will lead FOH staff in a fast-paced Brewery that serves hand crafted food to ensure a seamless food pairing experience for our guests. Manages FOH staff which includes scheduling, training, and general supervision. The right candidate will ensure efficient brewery operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Youll oversee the dining room / bar / patio & private room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity. Well expect you to lead by example to uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Coordinate daily Front of the House brewery operations Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction Continuously touching tables and getting to know guests Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints Regularly review product quality Organize and supervise shifts Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity Estimate future needs for craft beverages cans, bar supplies, office supplies and cleaning products Ensure compliance with sanitation, TIPS and safety regulations Manage restaurants good image and suggest ways to improve it Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads) Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations Oversees opening and closing tasks and balances daily and nightly cash drawers. Requirements Proven work experience as a Restaurant Supervisor, Hospitality Manager or similar role Proven customer service experience as a manager Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients for dishes as well as the craft beverage profiles to inform customers and wait staff Strong leadership, motivational and people skills Acute financial management skills FOH Supervisor with a Minimum of 2 years of experience (references required).

    Qualifications :

  • High school diploma / GED
  • Previous food and drink service experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, restaurant management software, and POS software
  • Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
  • Excellent management and leadership skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • 1-2 years as a Front of House Supervisor
  • Has worked as a bar tender or server for 2+ years
