About The Position

ID : 72371137 Shift : 12H Day / Night Rotate D / N Rotate, Weekends / Holidays as needed, first to float Description : Unit : ICU RN

• Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS & TNCC / TCAR / or experience with the care of trauma patients
• NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENTFIT TESTING / FACIAL HAIR- Please note, if a clinician for this facility has facial hair, they will be required to pass the either the Primary or Secondary fit test (3M Aura 1860 sm or reg / 3M 1870+). If unable to pass - A Portacount test would be required, which CANNOT be completed on clinicians with facial hair & PAPR CANNOT be completed on site solely due to failing because of facial hair - contract would be canceled if facial hair cannot be removed.- # of Beds : 4- Ratios : 1 : 2-3 depending on acuity- Common diagnoses / Types of patients : DKA, sepsis pts, respiratory failure, cardiac(rate and rhythm control), medical detox, art lines, CVP- Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes- Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Those typical to an ICU- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? : No- ER is in charge of ICU- Are there nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? : No- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? : Nasal cannula to vent- Are there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? : RN required to read and interpret- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) : 7-7 / / director makes schedule- Weekend Requirements : Will work where there is a need- Holiday Requirements : Will work where there is a need- Floating Requirements : MS or ER (for 1 : 1)- Scrub Color : Navy- How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? : 3- 12 hour shifts- Additional Notes : Attributes that make a nurse successful in this unit include coachability, motivation, ability to understand and coach unsafe situations, and team workRadius Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.Entered On : 12 / 17 / 2023 Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to Trauma Care Shift Rotate, Weekends / Holidays as needed, first to float Required , BLS, NIHSS, PALS Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Contract Weeks : 91
