Local Contract Physical Therapist - $64 per hour

VeeAR Health is seeking a local contract Physical Therapist for a local contract job in Alpena, Michigan. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Physical Therapist Discipline : Therapy Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, days Employment Type : Local Contract Shift Notes : Days : 10Hrs : Facility prefers M-Fr 830-5 but most are requesting 10 hour days which would be 730-6 but they prefer M-F.40 Hour Guarantee Weekend Requirements : one weekend per month On Call Requirements : No Job Description : This position delegates responsibility to the Physical Therapist Assistant and Aides. Activities of this position are patient focused and utilize assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with physical therapy standards, physician orders, and governing policies and procedures. Responsibilities (20%)

• Evaluates the patient’s function by performing formal / informal testing measures to determine the skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status. (20%)
• Develops a goal specific treatment regime based on assessment data and the patient’s tolerance to carry-out the treatment plan as prescribed. (20%)
• Submits a written treatment regime to be included as part of the plan of treatment authorized by and coordinated with the physician. Updates plan of care as needed to reflect changes in patient status. Co-signs verbal orders received by physical therapist assistant as necessary. (20%)
• Devises a schedule of treatment, which is frequency and duration specific to be discussed with patient / family / caregiver and coordinated with clinical support staff. (20%)
• Educates patient, family, and / or caregiver regarding pathology or condition, patient alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment through forms of rest, exercise, modalities, and other indicated interventions.
