Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Experience :

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 22 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Additional Details :

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills / Experience :

Required Credentials : IV certification

Types of Patients on Unit : Adults - Bacteremia, CKD, COPD ex, AMS, Anemia / GIB, FTT, Falls, ABD pain, SI / Med hold

Equipment Used on Unit : NG / Dobhoff, Kangaroo pump, Wound vac, chest tube

Unit Details : 31 bed med surg unit, our daily census is around 25. Our unit mainly houses the medicine teaching services of med surg, we do not have a specific specialty service in our unit.

Previous Employment Requirements : Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more; Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location.

Shift & Scheduling : May be required to work every other weekend.

Floating Requirements : May be floated to units of equivalent or lower acuity as necessary.
