The traveling Construction Project Manager works as part of a construction program management team managing multiple projects for our Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) client in the Salt Lake City, UT area. This position is open to qualified, local, individuals in SLC. The Construction Project Manager will manage ground up chain restaurant projects consisting of limited / fast pace size, scope, duration, etc., while acting as an extension of the owner’s design, construction and maintenance staff overseeing the work of general contractors, designers and vendors.

This is a hybrid ( remote + field ) based position with recurring travel on-site to project locations across the state of Utah. Travel required (30-60%) on an as needed basis up to and including weekly site visits. Multi-shift work may be required to accomplish work in active retail locations to meet aggressive schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• On-Site project management of construction activities
• Directs and coordinates the activities of project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Proactively communicates project related issues directly with Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
• Examines construction documentation including drawings, schedules, and scopes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Reviews bid results, specifications, test and progress reports, and other project information necessary to gain complete familiarity with the project.
• Confirms and verifies permitting requirements related to the project or program.
• Directly manages and monitors project work in the field.
• Diligently manages change orders to projects.
• Follows established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
• Prepares and provides weekly status reports for projects.
• Proactively identifies and solves or elevates project issues related to cost, schedule, safety, or qualify.
• Represents the company in project meetings.
• Develops and maintains relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors to help develop new opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay & Benefits : The anticipated compensation range for the position is $100,000 - $125,000, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.
