Overview

Under general supervision performs professional duties in the application of Ultrasonography services.  Demonstrates proficiency in performing all Ultrasound related exams and other related patient care services.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competency in preparing patients for procedures
  • Correctly performs all prescribed Ultrasound procedures in an efficient manner
  • Works independently and critiques exams
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Competent in the storage and transferring of images
  • Responsible for regular rotation of on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications :

  • Graduate of JRCERT approved school for Radiologic Technology with extensive training and experience in Ultrasound to prove competent or a graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasonography.
  • RDMS or ARRT certification in Abdomen and OB / GYN or registry eligible. If registry eligible, must sit for RDMS or ARRT within 24 months of successfully passing Physics, Abdomen and OB / GYN
