Description :

The position requires a Registered Nurse to work in a float pool setting.

The nurse will float between various levels of care including ICU and PCU.

Routine floating to Emergency Department to take admission holds and observation patients is expected.

Candidates must have experience with multispecialty critical care patients, including medical, surgical, cardiac, neuro, ortho, trauma, and interventional cases.

Common patient conditions include stroke, DKA, sepsis, multistystem trauma, STEMI, heart failure, and others.

Adequate PPE will be provided for COVID safety.

Patient ratios vary, with 1 : 2 in ICU based on acuity and 1 : 3-4 in PCU.

Shared responsibilities on the unit include phlebotomy and support from various team members including a resource nurse and intensivist available for consult 24 / 7.

Charting will be done using designated systems.

Weekend rotation is required, with every other weekend on day or night shifts.

Time-off requests are permitted but may require contract extension based on duration.

No on-call shifts are required.

Holiday expectations vary based on unit needs.
