About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a Level l Trauma Center PICU required

License : Active nursing license required

Certifications : BLS, PALS required; ACLS preferred

Must-Have :

• Epic charting experience required.
• Must be nicotine-free.
• Previous experience as a Charge Nurse preferred.

Description :

This position requires the ability to work on a mixed-acuity unit.

Ratios are 1 : 2 for PICU patients, 1 : 3 for Pediatric Care Unit (PCU) patients, and 1 : 4 for Acute care patients.

Registered Nurses in this role are expected to work across the acuity spectrum.

Traveling staff may be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts.

All staff may be required to float to any inpatient unit, which includes various specialties.

Responsibilities include turns, repositioning, bathing, assistance with patient transport, ambulation, and meal assistance.

Registered Nurses will administer medications within their individual comfort zone and training.

Minimum weekend requirement is 3 weekend shifts plus a Friday day shift for day travelers.

The unit accommodates 24 beds and serves a diverse patient population, including infants and adolescents.

Clinical support is provided by interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services.

Compliance with facility policy on time off is essential.
