General Job Description

COMPANY NAME : BLB Design / Build

LOCATION : Amesbury, MA

HOURS : 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm, Monday-Friday

PAY : Based on skills and experience

The ideal Architectural Drafter will work closely with our design and production teams to create accurate, detailed, and buildable construction drawings for residential remodeling projects. Candidates should have experience in architectural drafting and residential construction and be skilled in CAD software. This position requires attention to detail, clear communication, and a deep understanding of construction techniques and remodeling workflows. This role entails the

following tasks, as well as other duties not mentioned, to ensure successful design execution and project delivery :

Responsibilities :

DRAFTING + DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

• Collaborate with the chief visionary, sales team, and lead carpenter to review project scope, design intent, and objectives before contract signing.
• Create architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, using CAD software and Sketchup
• Develop accurate as-built drawings based on site measurements and client input.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, complete, code-compliant, and reflect the current project scope.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and subcontractors to incorporate structural and mechanical details.
• Prepare 3D visualizations or renderings as needed to communicate design ideas.
