Job Title : Accounting Manager
Location : Roseland NJ 07068
Salary / Payrate : $120K-$140K annually and AWESOME benefits!!!
Work Environment : Hybrid (1 day WFH AFTER initial 90 day ramp up period)

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Direct supervision of the ten-member billing, collection, cash applications, and matter intake team, including all daily activities.
- Close coordination with the assistant controller on all day-to-day financial aspects of the business, including operations of, and changes to, financial systems.
- Extensive use of the Elite 3E accounting, Intapp time entry, and Iridium BI, financial software systems.
- Measuring adherence to adopted accounting policies and procedures.
- Works closely with the controller on the oversight of the general accounting, payroll, trust accounting and accounts payable functions.
- Update and maintenance of daily cash flows.
- Preparation of journal entries.
- Review of the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and monthly variance analysis of various expense accounts.
- Review general ledger in preparation for month end close and related reporting, including release of monthly pro formas to billing attorneys as well as aged AR and unbilled time reports.
- Assist in annual and monthly financial reporting.
- Assist with the annual budget.
- Respond to ad hoc accounting requests from partners in the firm and administrative leadership.
- Firm liaison with bank representatives regarding all bank accounts.
Qualifications :
10 years’ experience in the legal industry, particularly in the areas of general accounting, billing (including e-billing), cash applications, and matter intakeenjoy working independently as well as being part of a cohesive teamSupervisory experience of accounting team membersCandidates should have solid writing and verbal communication skills.Daily use of Excel and financial systems (3E, Iridium, nQzw, Intapp, etc.)Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)Law firm (or other professional services) industry experience would be a plus.
