Join Our Cancer Care Team in Beautiful Coos Bay, Oregon

Become a valued member of an esteemed medical team in the picturesque community of Coos Bay, Oregon. This thriving coastal town offers a serene lifestyle with exceptional work-life balance. We are seeking two dedicated Medical Oncologists and / or Hematologists to join our renowned cancer center, which serves as the primary hub for top-tier cancer care across the southern coast of Oregon.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Accepting part-time (48 hours per pay period) and full-time (80 hours per pay period) candidates.
  • Provide care to a patient demographic consisting of 20% Hematology and 80% Oncology.
  • Manage an average of 10-15 patients per day in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Conduct outpatient visits at a beautiful free-standing cancer center with no inpatient consults.
  • Collaborate with a state-of-the-art infusion area featuring a new 19 chair infusion room and onsite mixing pharmacy.
  • Participate in a collaborative team environment with nurse navigation and radiation oncology services available onsite.
  • Engage in leading-edge clinical trials and maintain affiliation with Oregon Health & Sciences University.
  • Share call responsibilities on a 1 : 4 basis, primarily handling critical lab calls.
  • Prioritize work-life balance in a community that values time away from work.

Qualifications :

  • Board Eligible (within 2 years) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology and / or Hematology.
  • Experience in Radiation Oncology is preferred, but excellent recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Must possess a clean malpractice history and robust background check.
  • Must have ties to Oregon either current or past residency or family in the area.
  • Open to new Fellow graduates as well as locum-to-perm candidates.
  • License and Certification Requirements :

  • Oregon medical license or willing to obtain.
  • BLS certification (or willing to obtain).
  • DEA registration (must be obtained prior to start).
  • Submission of NPDB self-query report is required.
