Overview
The Design & Release Engineers (DRE) and Development & Validation Engineers (DVE) for Automatic Transmissions, Drivelines and Gear Reducers are responsible for designing, developing, and validating components and systems. They work closely with other engineering groups that interact with the transmission, including transmission hardware, software, calibration, thermal management, engine, and driveline engineering organizations.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for test execution to ensure functional objectives and durability goals are met. This includes test planning, bill-of-material development, test cell setup and debugging, test schedule development, root cause analysis of test stoppages, and leading the test article inspection and reporting following the end of each test. The test engineer will initiate root cause analysis and solution development processes if test failures are identified.
