Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Operating Room RN Location : Abilene, Texas 79601 (West Texas healthcare jobs) Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2070 - $2220 Start Date : September 15, 2025 End Date : December 15, 2025 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (06 : 30 - 15 : 00), Monday to Friday; call and late days as needed Hours per Week : 40 Patient Population : Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics Charting System : Allscripts (Altera experience preferred) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission) Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience Proficiency in craniotomy and burr hole procedures Certifications : BLS, ACLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (as applicable) Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance Travel nursing experience preferred Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver skilled nursing care in the main Operating Room, focusing on neuro / spine, ortho / trauma, and general / robotics / trauma cases Demonstrate expertise in craniotomy and burr hole procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more) Participate in call rotation and cover late shifts as needed Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Allscripts Provide patient-centered care to diverse age groups Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations Apply now to join our healthcare team as a travel Operating Room Registered Nurse in Abilene, Texas!
