About the Opportunity :
A national, employee-owned engineering firm is seeking a Regional Business Leader to drive the growth of its Civil Engineering Division in the Charlotte, NC region. This is a senior leadership position with a strong focus on business development, municipal market expansion, and team leadership . This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of public infrastructure projects and a strong network in the Charlotte area.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and implement the regional business development strategy
- Grow and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients
- Represent the Civil Divisions leadership presence in the Charlotte office
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to align services with market demand
- Contribute to long-term staff planning and succession strategy
- Guide strategic pursuits, proposal development, and contract negotiations
Day-to-Day Activities :
Engage with existing and prospective municipal and public-sector clientsIdentify and pursue new business opportunitiesMentor and support the professional growth of local civil team membersFacilitate collaboration across disciplines within the firmAttend public meetings, industry events, and client presentations as a key representativeServe as a trusted advisor and public-facing leader for clients in the regionRequired Experience :
Extensive experience delivering civil engineering projects in the municipal or public infrastructure sectorsProven track record in business development or account leadership within a consulting or professional services environmentStrong connections with local government agencies or municipalities in the Charlotte regionKey Skills & Attributes :

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering , Business , or a related fieldPE license preferred , but not requiredCompensation & Benefits :
