As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will :
- Responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients in a variety of clinical settings during scheduled hours. Scope of services includes outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.
- Counsel clients during appointments, as necessary.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat adults, adolescents, and children experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorder.
- Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure proper patient care.
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries.
- Prepare and submit assessments, progress notes, reports, and summaries to entities / agencies as required.
- Design and participate in the development of individualized treatment plans, incorporating best and leading practices into treatment interventions.
Requirements :
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience providing direct client care to patients receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders.Possession of an Indiana State Registered Nurse license, Advanced Practice certification / licensure, CSR, and DEA license. CPR Certified. Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health or as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.Education Requirements :
Master’s Degree in Nursing required. Concentrated education in Psychiatric nursing.
