Conduct regular wine tastings, pairings, and staff education sessions. Ensure accurate inventory management and cost controls across all locations. Collaborate with chefs and managers to craft seasonal wine pairings and beverage promotions. Lead and mentor beverage and service teams to uphold the highest levels of knowledge and professionalism. Implement structured beverage training programs for all FOH staff. Foster a culture of hospitality, continuous learning, and enthusiasm for beverage excellence. Develop and manage beverage budgets, cost of goods, and profitability targets. Negotiate pricing and purchasing agreements with vendors to optimize margins. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal alcohol regulations. Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Sommelier Certification (Level 2 or higher preferred). 5+ years of progressive experience in beverage management, preferably in fine dining or luxury hospitality. Proven success in leading beverage programs across multiple locations. Deep knowledge of wine, spirits, and craft cocktails, with a refined palate and passion for hospitality. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to balance creativity with financial discipline. Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts. About the Opportunity
A distinguished premium restaurant group is seeking an experienced and passionate Beverage Director to lead the development and execution of an exceptional beverage program across its portfolio. This individual will bring expertise in wine, spirits, and mixology, blending creativity with strategic oversight to elevate the guest experience.
The ideal candidate has a Sommelier certification , a deep understanding of beverage trends, and a proven record of building profitable, guest-focused beverage programs in fine dining or premium casual environments.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Development
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive beverage programs across multiple restaurant concepts.
- Curate wine lists and beverage menus that align with each concept’s culinary identity and enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain relationships with vendors, distributors, and wineries to source unique and high-quality products.
- Monitor market trends to continuously evolve and innovate the beverage offerings.
