We are searching for a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Permanent Director of Events to join our hospitality team. This role involves leading, planning, and executing a wide range of events from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and will be able to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who is looking to enhance their career and make a significant impact on our organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and manage all event planning and coordination, including budgeting, logistics, scheduling, and post-event evaluations.
  • Develop and implement event strategy and objectives, ensuring they align with the organization's overall business goals.
  • Lead and direct all event staff, providing clear communication and guidance to ensure the successful execution of events.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring high-quality services at the most cost-effective prices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align event activities with marketing, sales, and other business objectives.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices, implementing new and innovative strategies to enhance guest experiences.
  • Implement risk management and crisis response plans to ensure the safety and well-being of all event attendees.
  • Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise.
  • Evaluate event outcomes based on key performance indicators and use this information to improve future events.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning or management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in event planning software and other relevant technology.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • CMP (Certified Meeting Planner) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as needed to oversee events.
