6 North West Imu-Acuity Adaptable

6 North West IMU-Acuity Adaptable is a 35-bed unit that offers a patient-family centered approach to both Medical and Progressive Level of Care. Our patients stay with us through the progression of care. We promote Team-Based Care that includes the patient and family to develop shared goals of care. This multidisciplinary collaboration brings the patient and family together in meaningful ways to provide quality patient care.

Royal Oak Hospital is recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the #2 hospital in Michigan and one of the top hospitals in the country. It is a major academic and referral center with Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma designations. The advanced capabilities and clinical expertise within this center have earned it Magnet designation four consecutive times and has the distinct honor of housing Michigan's first Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence.

Coordinates aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the unit. In addition to communication and clerical tasks, she / he monitors and stocks supplies. Provides patient care and related functions as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.

High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of nursing assistant program and / or one year of nursing assistant experience preferred. Nursing Assistant certification preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.
