This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Mortgage) in the United States .

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a fast-paced, innovation-driven team. This role emphasizes backend development while also contributing to full-stack solutions, including AI / ML-powered features. You will lead key initiatives from concept to delivery, collaborate closely with product managers and engineers, and design scalable, secure applications that support high-performance operations. This position offers the opportunity to shape the technical direction of critical products, mentor other engineers, and work on high-impact projects that drive business growth and efficiency. Accountabilities :

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure applications with a focus on backend services.
  • Drive initiatives from ideation through execution, defining MVPs, breaking projects into actionable phases, and removing blockers for the team.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to ensure technical solutions align with business goals.
  • Implement and maintain secure, reliable, and compliant software architectures, including AI / ML-enhanced features.
  • Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to optimize development processes and application performance.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and technical solutions effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-stack software development experience using Node.js, TypeScript, and REST APIs.
  • At least 1+ year of experience working with AI / ML solutions or integrating large language models (LLMs).
  • Experience with AWS architecture, including Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, and Step Functions.
  • Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and best practices for scalable application deployment.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, RESTful APIs, databases, secure coding practices, and responsive design.
  • Experience with React and state management libraries (Redux, XState, Nanostores preferred).
  • Familiarity with MLOps, AI observability tools, and designing application layers interfacing with ML / LLM systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction and collaborate effectively.
  • Bonus : Experience in FinTech or mortgage-related software development.
