Project Engineer- Onsite Position-Defense

We have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team in Santa Clarita, CA!

As our Project Engineer you will lead the engineering team in executing the project plan, performs a variety of software and / or hardware engineering activities of an analysis, design or test nature . Participates on project teams and tracks progress against the Integrated Management Schedule (IMS). Plans, conducts and may supervise research, development or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification. Engineering activities support both domestic and international products / services.

Location : Santa Clarita, CA-Onsite

Salary : $ 83,800.00 - $112,000.00 per year plus potential bonus

Your Challenge

\n

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.

\n

\n

  • Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

    • \n

    \n

  • Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.

    • \n

    \n

  • Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.

    • \n

    \n

  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

    • \n

    \n

  • Study processes to determine where and how application of equipment can be made.

    • \n

    \n

  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.

    • \n

    \n

  • Assist in developing the structural design of products, and provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.

    • \n

    \n

  • Design test control apparatus and equipment and develop procedures for testing products.

    • \n

    \n

  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.

    • \n

    \n

  • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.

    • \n

    \n

  • Track project schedule and costs with working knowledge of MS Project.

    • \n

    \n

  • Report schedule escapes and cost overruns to management.

    • \n

    \n

  • Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects, and prepare contract documents.

    • \n

    \n

  • Establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition.

    What You Bring

    \n

  • Strong leadership skills.

    • \n

    \n

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent

    • \n

    \n

  • Years Experience = 3 years minimum

    • \n

    \n

  • Industry Experience = 2 years defense industry preferred

    • \n

    \n

  • Ability to organize diverse groups into cohesive, functional units with clear purpose.

    • \n

    \n

  • Excellent communicator, including ability to listen to conflicting ideas.

    • \n

    \n

  • Able to work across functional boundaries to resolve cross-functional issues.

    • \n
