In this position, you will independently provide both routine and advanced care to patients, adapting your skills to address various clinical situations. You will play a critical role in managing patient care, developing long-term goals, and enhancing your clinical competencies.\n\nOur facility is a 150-bed hospital located in a rapidly growing area of San Antonio, specializing in a wide range of services including orthopedic and surgical care, cardiovascular education, women's services, and more. - Demonstrate leadership qualities in accordance with the OneCHRISTUS Competencies.\n
- Provide nursing care based on the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process for patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.\n
- Address complex psychological and social needs of patients and their families.\n
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.\n
- Thoroughly document patient care, including history, symptoms, and treatment outcomes.\n
- Assess and educate patients and their families on healthcare needs and available resources.\n\nJob Requirements : \n\nEducation / Skills : \n
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.\n\nExperience : \n
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications : \n
- BLS certification is required.\n
- RN License in the state of employment or compact.\n\nPosition Requirements : \n\nEducation / Skills : \n
- Newly hired RNs are required to attend New Nurses Orientation in the first 30 days.\n
- Orientation includes preceptorship by trained staff and completion of entry competency validations.\n
- Annual competency verification is mandatory.\n\nExperience : \n
- At least one year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications : \n
- Current ACLS certification is required.\n\nCredential Grace Periods : \n\nGrace periods for obtaining additional credentials apply based on experience levels.\n
- Experienced Associates must obtain ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.\n
