Job Summary
Community Clinic is seeking a Travel Medical Assistant for our School Based Health Clinics in Northwest, AR. The primary location will be at Jones Elementary located in Springdale, AR and will cover other School Based Health Locations in the following areas : Springdale, Fayetteville, Elkins, West Fork, Prairie Grove. Less common coverage areas needed : Rogers, Siloam Springs. CMA or RMA certification is required. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday- Friday 8 : 00-4 : 30p with mileage reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.
- Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.
- Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.
- Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
- Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and / or training.
- Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.
- Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA / HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent requiredCertified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or equivalent experience required.Bilingual Spanish / English strongly requiredLab Experience preferredHigh Volume Medical Clinic experience preferredSkills
Proficient spelling necessary.Ability to work and function independently and within a team.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds.Proficient knowledge in computer software such as Microsoft Office Software.Able to perform proficiently on current practice management system and / or electronic medical records.Why Work at Community Clinic?
