This position is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the SOC, including log monitoring, incident analysis, and threat hunting. Students will gain hands-on experience with SOC tools, procedures, and industry best practices while helping protect critical energy and infrastructure systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor system logs and alerts to identify potential threats
- Assist in triage and escalation of incidents
- Support SOC analysts with threat intelligence research and documentation
- Maintain SOC playbooks, procedures, and incident records
- Provide technical support during live incident response activities
- Contribute to after-action reports, briefings, and training sessions

Auburn University undergraduate studentMust be a U.S. citizenMust have the ability to work 10+ hours per weekPreferred Qualifications
Undergraduate student in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplineInterest in network security, digital forensics, and incident responseFamiliarity with SIEM tools, intrusion detection, or malware analysis preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced team environment and follow structured processesStrong written and verbal communication skillsPay and Schedule
Pay Rate : 15.00-20.00 per hourWork Hours : 10-20 hours per weekAdditional Information
