Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Orthopedics position with night shifts and EPIC charting at an acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an acute orthopedics unit within a hospital setting
  • Care for patients with orthopedic medical and surgical needs
  • Three 12-hour night shifts per week
  • EMR system used is EPIC and experience is required
  • May be required to float to other departments within competency
  • Possible on-call requirements during scheduled shifts
  • Perform independent and delegated nursing functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care
  • Provide health teaching, counseling, and restorative therapy as appropriate to orthopedic patients
  • Document care thoroughly to meet hospital and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for patient care and treatment plans
  • Must be able to meet the physical and professional requirements of a hospital orthopedic unit

    • Requirements

  • Active MT or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
  • ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Current AHA BLS certification required and must be valid through start date
  • At least 1 year of Med / Surg Orthopedics RN experience required
  • EPIC EMR experience required
