Real Estate Attorney - Bethesda, MD

A respected Bethesda law firm is seeking a Real Estate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience representing clients in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, and development. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated matters in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Maryland Bar in good standing (D.C. Bar admission a plus)
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance, title, and land use matters
  • Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, leases, and loan documents
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, loan documents, and related agreements
  • Conduct due diligence, including title, survey, and zoning review
  • Advise clients on real estate development, land use, and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate with lenders, title companies, and local government agencies
  • Provide legal counsel to developers, investors, landlords, and tenants
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver comprehensive client service
