Accountant
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage our accounting and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant labor laws. This role also involves supporting HR processes and general administration tasks, contributing to the seamless operation of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
- Maintain payroll records and reconcile payroll-related accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closings.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and system updates.
- Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality.
- Support benefits administration and employee inquiries.
- Help coordinate training, safety compliance, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with operations and management to ensure accurate labor cost tracking.
- Provide reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
- Assist with special projects related to finance and HR.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage.Strong understanding of payroll laws and HR best practices.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and discretion.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2+ years of experience in accounting or payroll; HR experience is a plus.Experience in manufacturing, construction, or lumber industries preferred.Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office setting, utilizing various accounting and payroll software. The role requires effective collaboration with different departments to ensure accurate financial operations. Dress code is business casual.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fargo, North Dakota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00 / yr.
