The Team

Encore Fleet Services (an Encore company) is the powerhouse behind the flawless operation of our luxury coach fleet. With a focus on excellence and precision, our team ensures that every vehicle in our lineup meets the highest standards of performance and luxury. We handle everything from thorough maintenance to meticulous cleaning and comprehensive refurbishments, preparing each coach for seamless service. Our commitment to "Delivering a Premium" is evident in the impeccable condition of our fleet and the unmatched reliability we provide to every client. At Encore Fleet Services, you'll join a dedicated team that values hard work and attention to detail. This is a place where your skills will contribute directly to our reputation as North America’s leader in luxury coach travel. Embrace the opportunity to grow with us and help maintain the standard of luxury that Encore is known for.

Your Role

As a Diesel Technician III, you’re one of the most trusted and capable techs in the shop. You’ll take full ownership of diagnostics and repairs across our luxury motorcoach fleet, including diesel engines, drivetrain, HVAC, electrical, suspension, and braking systems.

This role is more than technical. You’re the person others rely on when things get complicated or time gets tight. You’re not in a formal lead role, but your experience and judgment make you a natural mentor to Techs I and II. You set the bar for quality, safety, and performance.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, 12V / 24V electrical systems, HVAC, drivetrain, and suspension components

Use advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot voltage drops, emissions faults, and full coach performance issues

Resolve brake system failures including low air pressure, slack adjuster issues, and braking imbalances

Troubleshoot drivetrain vibration, torque loss, or abnormal noise with precision

Diagnose and repair generator systems and manage load distribution across coach power systems

Perform tire inspections and alignment evaluations to correct wear and handling issues

Support Tech I and II team members through guidance and hands-on problem solving

Communicate clearly with leadership and document all repair work with detailed notes and recommendations

Minimum Requirements

Typically requires 5+ years of diesel repair experience - but candidates with fewer years will be considered if they can demonstrate the ability to perform all responsibilities at this level

Proven experience working with Volvo diesel engines

Experience working on Prevost luxury motorcoaches

Strong diagnostic skills across multiple systems including electrical, drivetrain, HVAC, and air brakes

Proficient with pneumatic diagrams, wiring schematics, and diagnostic software

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with HVAC zone controls, fire suppression systems, ABS sensors, and generator troubleshooting

Interest in mentoring junior techs or growing into a Diesel Tech IV role

Compensation details : 38-45 Hourly Wage
