The Director of FP& A is responsible for a variety of financial duties surrounding the planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting of consolidated financial results. This includes periodic reporting of financial results, variance analysis versus plan and prior year, forecasts, the annual budget process, data consolidation, and special projects. This role partners cross-functionally with External Reporting and Corporate Accounting teams in the preparation and review of MD&A and collaborates with Investor Relations in the preparation of earnings call materials. The Director, FP&A will also actively participate in key finance functional initiatives.
Location : Remote with strong preference for candidates located in the Tri-state area / Eastern Time zone.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial and operational support to the manufacturing and wholesale segments across the company.
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly financial and KPI reporting for assigned business units.
- Analyze current and historical trends in key performance indicators, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, and operating expenses.
- Monitor performance indicators, identify trends, and analyze causes of unexpected variances.
- Prepare and present ad hoc reports and analyses as needed to support decision making.
- Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for the segment, with emphasis on site and cultivation operations, labor planning, and expense analysis.
- Lead biweekly expense review meetings with site leadership to ensure accountability and financial visibility.
- Partner with stakeholders to evaluate ROI and financial outcomes on various initiatives.
- Develop and refine financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and planning efforts.
- Serve as a critical finance partner to site-level and cultivation operations, providing insight and recommendations to drive efficiency and performance.
- Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as needed to support business objectives.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Business-related field required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, public accounting, or FP&A.Cannabis industry experience preferred, particularly with cultivation and production operations.Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience.Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong computer aptitude, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Experience with accounting and financial reporting software systems.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial standards, and regulatory requirements.Demonstrated experience in P&L management, financial systems, and general accounting concepts.Ability to adapt and lead effectively in a dynamic and evolving business environment.High degree of self-motivation and initiative in a fast-paced, growth-oriented setting.Proven business and finance partnering skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.Effective project management skills, with experience leading initiatives from concept to completion.Ability to collaborate across multiple departments to solve organizational challenges and drive outcomes.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, leveraging data and insights to inform strategic recommendations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.Broad understanding of general business operations and strategic planning principles.Work Environment
