About the Client
The client is an innovative AI medical imaging company delivering SaMD solutions that improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency. With $50M in Series B funding and strong clinical traction, the company is preparing for expanded commercialization and is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to guide clinical strategy, regulatory alignment, and medical affairs.
Role Overview
The Chief Medical Officer will :
- Define and lead clinical strategy across development, validation, and market adoption of AI-driven imaging products
- Partner with regulatory and quality leaders to ensure clinical evidence supports FDA, EU MDR / IVDR, and global submissions
- Oversee clinical trial design, protocol development, and execution in collaboration with investigators and KOLs
- Serve as the clinical voice to internal teams, payers, providers, and regulators
- Build and manage Medical Affairs function, including post-market surveillance, publications, and thought-leader engagement
- Advise executive team on risk-benefit assessments, product claims, and evidence generation strategies
Requirements
MD or MD / PhD with board certification in Radiology or related specialty strongly preferred10+ years of clinical leadership in medical devices, digital health, or imaging softwareExperience with clinical trials, evidence generation, and regulatory submissions (FDA, MDR / IVDR)Deep understanding of SaMD and AI / ML applications in healthcareStrong communication skills with ability to influence across executive, clinical, and regulatory stakeholdersPrior startup or high-growth company experience is a plusWhat’s Offered
