Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Fort Wayne, IN 46804 (Indiana nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Cardiac Telemetry Unit (24 beds)

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date : October 27, 2025

End Date : January 26, 2026

Shift : Nights, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : Every other weekend required; block scheduling available

Floating : Required to other hospital units as needed

Dress Code : Navy scrubs

EMR System : Cerner (preferred experience)

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1680 - $1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience

Proficient in interpreting telemetry strips and administering medications

Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Ability to float to other clinical units as needed

Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Valid driver's license and permanent home address required upon submission

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to cardiac telemetry patients in a hospital setting

Accurately interpret and monitor telemetry strips

Administer medications and perform thorough charting assessments

Conduct bedside shift reports and maintain clear communication with the healthcare team

Float to other units as needed to support patient care

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
