SUMMARY : The Patient Advocate Scheduler (PAS) works closely with their assigned Home Color Team, which includes the provider, support staff and the patients associated with that team. The PAS is primarily responsible for managing all scheduling functions – this includes new appointments, cancellations, and reschedules, for their assigned color team. Additionally, the PAS provides direct support to patients, addressing any scheduling related needs and ensuring a smooth coordination of care.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES :

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be certified (CMA, RMA, MA, EMT, CNA or similar)
• Post high school education is advantageous.
• Proven experience working in a medical office.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance plans.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• The ability to type and file accurately.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Good computer and electronic record skills
