Remote Assistance Operator – Autonomous Vehicles Location :

  • Austin, TX (On-Site) Pay : $24.00 – $28.00 per hour Schedule : Rotating shifts, including weekends (1st shift : 6 : 00am – 2 : 00pm | 2nd shift : 2 : 30pm – 11 : 00pm) Type : Full-time, 6-month contract with potential extension About the Role As Remote Assistance Operator,  you’ll play a critical role in supporting the safe operation of autonomous vehicles.
  • In this position, you will continuously monitor vehicle systems, make real-time decisions when intervention is needed, and ensure that every trip runs safely and smoothly.
  • This is a hands-on, in-person role based at our Remote Operations Center in Austin, TX, and requires strong decision-making skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do Monitor assigned autonomous vehicles in real time using multiple camera feeds and the Remote Command (RC) interface Intervene proactively when necessary to ensure safety and compliance Document all interventions and observations using tools such as Notion and Google Sheets Conduct post-trip reviews and flag operational anomalies Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions and contribute to our knowledge base Track and report operational metrics Provide clear, concise handoffs to incoming shift leads What We’re Looking For Required :

  • Experience in technical support, dispatch, or operations (IT, transportation, logistics, etc.) Strong decision-making skills under pressure High attention to detail with disciplined documentation practices Basic understanding of autonomous vehicle systems, or a strong willingness to learn Preferred : Experience with geolocation tools or Remote Command (RC) interfaces Familiarity with autonomous system perception and planning concepts Skills in log analysis or working with event data Work Environment & Schedule On-site at Austin Office Rotating shifts, including weekends Flexibility to work both morning and evening shifts is required Benefits Pre-tax commuter benefits Subsidised healthcare through HireArt Flexible Spending Account for healthcare costs Company-paid short- and long-term disability and life insurance Powered by JazzHR
