Responsibilities Work in the NICU of a children's hospital and Level II pediatric trauma center Assignment includes 12-hour day shifts (3x12), with shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00 Patient ratios range from 1 : 2 to 1 : 4 May float to PICU or pediatrics if not needed in NICU and may be required to float between nearby facilities Weekend work is required on a PRN basis Block scheduling available Must be willing to float between all facilities within the state as required Required to work at least 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Navy scrubs required for all RNs Free parking and bike racks available Pre-employment modules (approximately 16 hours) must be completed prior to start First-time travelers are welcome to apply Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) is preferred; all requests must be submitted up-front and may impact assignment consideration Requirements Active TX or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU RN experience required Experience with Epic EMR required Two supervisory references within the last three years are required Must live at least 50 miles from the facility for travel RN status Previous permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler at this facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624067.
