Position Summary :
The Mobile Wound Care Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic wounds across diverse patient populations and care settings. This role demands clinical expertise, autonomy, and strong interpersonal skills. As part of our mobile model, the NP will travel to various patient locations within the designated service area, providing direct care and partnering with interdisciplinary teams to deliver personalized wound care plans.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform comprehensive wound assessments, including measurement, staging, and documentation.
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Conduct wound care procedures such as debridement, dressing changes, and application of negative pressure wound therapy.
Order and interpret relevant diagnostic studies for effective wound management.
Prescribe medications, dressings, and therapy regimens within the NP scope of practice.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, caregivers, and facility staff to ensure cohesive care planning.
Educate patients, families, and staff on wound prevention and treatment strategies.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation using an electronic health record (EHR) system.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control standards, and Cureza’s internal policies.
Qualifications :
Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (MSN or DNP) from an accredited program.
Current, active NP license in the state of Texas.
Board Certification in Adult-Gerontology, Family Practice, or Wound Care (preferred).
1–2 years of wound care experience preferred; strong interest in wound care required.
Wound care certifications (WCC, CWCN, CWON) preferred, but not mandatory.
Experience in home health, long-term care, or post-acute settings is a plus.
Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a mobile caseload.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
