Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Software Engineer III will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining advanced ground software solutions that support commercial aircraft operations, with a focus on delivering reliable, high-performance applications used by major airlines and military organizations. This role includes implementing new features, contributing to system architecture, supporting testing and validation efforts, and ensuring alignment with product requirements and industry standards. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and have opportunities for technical and professional growth within a fast-paced, supportive development environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Software Development : Design, develop, and unit test robust, scalable software components that meet performance and maintainability standards.
• Backend Engineering : Build backend APIs and tools with a focus on scalability, reliability, and long-term support.
• Architecture & Code Quality : Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and system architecture decisions to ensure high-quality software design.
• Agile Collaboration : Work collaboratively with QA, product managers, and fellow engineers in Agile sprints, contributing to planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
• Mentorship & Peer Review : Participate in peer code reviews and provide guidance to junior team members as needed.
• Documentation : Contribute to technical documentation including specifications, API references, and system design artifacts.
• Cross-Functional Engagement : Engage in internal meetings, customer communications, and industry events to support product development and alignment with stakeholder needs.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

Bachelors of Arts (BA) or Science (BA) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, in addition to 3-5+ years of professional or professional-equivalent experience in software development or related roles.

Salary : 125k - 135k

Salary Range :

$82,600.00-$110,100.000
