Responsibilities
- Provide process engineering support in the production / utilities department to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems involved with day-to-day ongoing operations.
- Monitor the day-to-day performance of the units. Develop, propose, implement and / or follow up on process and facility improvements involved in ongoing operations (variable cost, productivity, quality, HSE, reliability, maintenance).
- Analyze, in collaboration with HSE, RD&T and Quality / L6S groups, incidents with respect to capacity, quality and HSE to identify root causes and take effective corrective actions.
- Manage the definition, implementation and follow-up of quality processes for ongoing operations.
- Develop and maintain written documentation about the ongoing production / utilities processes and the facilities.
- Track technological developments within own domain of expertise through a network of technological informants (e.g., DCTRP, RD&T, Transversal Functions in Manufacturing).
- Collaborate with RD&T to introduce new products in the unit, including manufacturing specifications for RD&T projects, and preparation and follow up of industrial trials.
- Provide support in developing budget proposals and effective implementation upon approval. Provide support to the T-function as required for construction projects.
- Assist with preparation and, when appropriate, delivery of technical training for employees.
- Track, document, analyze and prepare reports for OEE. Develop and propose countermeasures for potential improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.3-5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing; PSM experience preferred.Technical knowledge of chemical plant unit operations and processes.Ability to lead and collaborate in problem-solving and root-cause investigation.Ability to support and influence continuous improvement.Working knowledge of Google applications (Gmail, Drive, etc.) and MS Office programs.Strong customer and service orientation.Collaboration and team leadership.Process and technology knowledge and expertise.Technical rules and regulations; documentation and systems approach.Conceptual and analytical thinking; strong troubleshooting skills.Ability to influence change.Effective written and spoken communication skills.You will get
Competitive salary and benefits package.The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $98,500 to $118,700 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.
