- Hours are 7 : 30am - 4 : 15pm Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Coordinate the import / export of goods and suggest the most cost-effective means of delivery if appropriateShip materials using the ERP system, UPS, FEDEX, and other carrier portals and process shipping documents according to established policies and proceduresResolve issues when needed, and work with Customer Service and / or Accounting to troubleshootCreate bills of lading, packing slips, and Customs documentation for outgoing materials using our ERP System, UPS, FEDEX, and other carrier portalsImplement improvements in the process to streamlineVerify the information on the shipping documents matches the information in the ERP SystemOperate forklift, pallet jacks or hand trucks to prepare and stage materials for shippingMaintain an accurate inventory of materials in the stock shipping areaLabel products with part number, description, quantity per container, and order numberReceive and visually inspect packages for damage and sign for deliveries from vendorInterfaces with internal customers including, purchasing, accounting, quality, manufacturing, sales, and program management to resolve issues in a timely and accurate mannerInterface with external customers to obtain shipping methods and work within customer portalsResolve discrepancies related to incoming and outgoing of productsProvide crates and necessary pallets to packaging on large ordersPerforms other activities as requested to meet departmental goalsComply with all OSHA and company safety rulesQualifications / Skills :
Minimum Education : High School Diploma or equivalentExperience : 3+ years of experience in shipping / manufacturingIntermediate Microsoft office skills / ability to learn excelAbility to learn / use freight carrier portalsAbility to use small power toolsForklift experience a plusExport Documentation experience a plusPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions :
