Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deputy Project Leader to join our team in Manassas, VA. Responsibilities of the Deputy Project Leader include :

• Lead design and deployment of integrated infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
• Implement procedures and controls to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
• Support project documentation, layout, and field office coordination with Superintendents and Engineering.
• Manage subcontractors within M.C. Dean's installation scope.
• Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules using MS Project.
• Coordinate and lead PKOM and KPR project meetings.
• Forecast manpower and cash flow needs.
• Assist in budget development and manpower allocation for foreman-level tracking.
• Prepare submittals, change orders, and project estimates.
• Create design / build estimates based on design criteria.
• Present proposals and cost estimates to customers.
• Interpret plans and contract terms for staff and clients.
• Resolve construction issues with supervisory personnel, owners, and design teams.
• Coordinate material acquisition and monitor tool / equipment needs.
• Oversee financial management and ensure project profitability.
• Ensure timely project completion including punch-list, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.
• Complete all training and administrative contract requirements.
• Monitor budgets for positive cash flow and profitability.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices.
