Position Summary

This is a hands-on role focused on the installation, setting, alignment, and commissioning of industrial machinery and equipment. Ideal candidates bring strong mechanical aptitude, pride in craftsmanship, and a proven commitment to safety and quality. You’ll work from drawings and specs, execute precision layout and rigging, and collaborate with engineers and trades to deliver reliable, on-time installs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, equipment manuals, and schematics to plan work.
• Install, set, move, and align industrial machinery and mechanical equipment using precision tools (levels, laser / dial indicators, micrometers).
• Lay out structural steel, equipment centers, and anchor bolt patterns; set and grout bases / equipment pads.
• Rig, lift, and signal safely; develop and follow basic lift plans with cranes, forklifts, and aerial lifts.
• Perform mechanical assembly (couplings, gearboxes, bearings, guards, conveyors, pumps, motors).
• Execute miscellaneous framing (wood / metal) and light carpentry as needed for installations.
• Operate tools / equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized work area (LOTO, fall protection, housekeeping).
• Document work (measurements, alignment readings, QA checks) and communicate progress with supervision.
• Support startup / commissioning and punch-list closeout.
