Hourly Pay Range :

MRI Technologist II, Per Diem

Position Highlights :

  • Position : MRI Technologist II
  • Location : Arlington Heights, IL.
  • Part Time : Per Diem
  • Hours : Hours vary upon the needs of the department.
  • Required Travel : no

What you will do :

  • Performs all established MRI imaging procedures; selects proper technique protocols.
  • Prepares and positions patients for MRI procedures; uses immobilization devices, as required.
  • Processes and develops images per established procedures.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, treat, and care for all age groups of patients (neonatal through geriatric); implements assessment / treatment / care based on the developmental stages of the patient. Involves family / guardian in plan of care and conducts patient and family education, as appropriate, considering the developmental needs of the patient.
  • Performs established calibration and quality control procedures to assure optimal quality of MRI equipment and service; notifies supervisor of unusual findings.
  • Participates in maintaining appropriate patient and operational records consistent with the main Radiology Department.

    • What you will need :

  • Education : Associate's degree or higher in allied health field required.
  • Certification : ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) registered as an MR technologist required, Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Experience : Minimum 6 months supervised MRI experience required.
  • Unique or Preferred Skills : Demonstrated knowledge of the correct use of body mechanics.
