Med / Surg Telemetry RN Job Details Assignment Type : Locum tenens (Travel Registered Nurse) Specialty : Med / Surg Telemetry – Oncology Nursing Location : Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio healthcare job) Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 16, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1940-$1990 Scheduling : Facility-determined; flexibility required (no block scheduling) Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 Unit : 19 James Med Surg Oncology (36 beds) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Ohio state or compact license required at submission) Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Med / Surg Telemetry RN or Oncology RN Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program BCLS certification required Proficient with EPIC charting systems Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed Previous travel nursing experience preferred Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Two professional references (one from a manager / director or supervisor) Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration and symptom management Monitor patients using GE telemetry systems and B450 monitors Interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and manage telemetry for chemotherapy patients Administer blood products and manage central / PICC lines, ports, and arterial lines Start and maintain IVs; assist with chest tube insertion and removal Operate specialized equipment such as bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds Implement infection prevention and patient fall prevention protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services Float to other Med / Surg Oncology units as required Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med / Surg Telemetry RN in Columbus, Ohio, and make a difference in patient care while advancing your nursing career!
