Overview
The Senior Electronics Engineer will be the subject matter expert for electronics design, continuing engineering, and project management for the aviation emergency lighting systems and military / tactical products. This person will work side-by-side with the Production Engineer to support continuing engineering, design for manufacturing, and introduction of new and re-designed product to the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads regular engineering meetings for continuing engineering and design projects
- Provides primary electronics design engineering for new and existing products
- Works with Production Engineer to provide direct support of the manufacturing floor
- Supports Quality for root cause and corrective action for products returned from the field
- Provides primary technical interface with customer for existing products
- Manages activities of engineering technicians
- Provides electronic circuit and printed circuit board design working with consulting engineer
- Provides engineering project documentation for product design and qualification

Engineering support experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in electro-mechanical products design and manufacturingExperience with MRP, data base, BOM, project management, and spreadsheet programsProficiency in 2D and 3D design programs and rapid prototyping / 3D printingProficiency in microprocessor and firmware codingPerformance Metrics / Success Measures
