Trainee Technician – Water Treatment – $50,000 to $75,000, based on experience + Southeastern, Minnesota

The Role

Watertech is looking for a Field Technician Trainee to join our team in Southeastern Minnesota. This role offers a mix of hands-on technical work, independent problem-solving, and customer interaction. You’ll visit customer sites across industries like healthcare, food and beverage, and manufacturing. With full training and support, you’ll learn how to test water systems, troubleshoot equipment, and deliver real results for customers.

This is a field-based role within a 2-hour radius, with some home-based admin work.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Visit industrial and commercial facilities to monitor and adjust water systems
  • Run water quality tests and analyze results
  • Troubleshoot and optimize equipment performance
  • Use automation tools to track system data
  • Work closely with plant teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Build trust and strong relationships with customers

The Company

Watertech's products and services include raw water preparation for process, wastewater treatment, and cooling and boiler system treatment programs. The goal of Watertech’s services is the proper control of corrosion, scale formation and microbiological fouling in water systems to both protect the useful life of the asset as well as minimize costs associated with water and energy.
