Job Summary :

North Highland helps businesses move from strategy to reality, taking a pragmatic and practical approach to build solutions that work and create impact that lasts. They are seeking an IT & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to assist in delivering cloud architecture and management solutions, while also leading teams and engaging with clients to ensure project success.

Responsibilities :

AWS cloud architecture and deployment practices

Azure cloud administration and optimization

GCP cloud administration and optimization

Infrastructure as Code and DevOps engineering

Cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions

Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management

Remains optimistic and confident in the face of very difficult and prolonged work demands; comfortably handles risk and uncertainty; is decisive in ambiguous situations.

Responsible for developing skillset to bring the most value to our clients and solutions.

Expands professional network beyond the current client.

Builds recognition as a highly skilled technical manager.

Assists teammates in choosing the most appropriate communication method for an audience.

Develops and presents strategic recommendations to clients.

Leads workstreams and manages project deliverables.

Facilitates final client review and acceptance of deliverables; collaborates with client to differentiate "wants" from "needs."

Conducts complex data analysis and synthesizes insights.

Connects regularly with stakeholders and clients to confirm priorities, present progress, and request feedback.

Scopes, estimates and creates project and program specifics.

Partners with clients and plays larger role within the project / program.

Assists in business development activities, including pitch decks, proposals, and client meetings.

Refines processes and deliverables for internal initiatives; conducts interviews for recruiting.

Identifies and encourages growth opportunities for team members beyond expected goals and discusses in 1 : 1s.

Understands strengths of others to utilize as resources for specific tasks

Uses effective techniques (status, etc.) to monitor progress of team.

Motivates and coaches team members to accomplish team objectives through constructive feedback.

Coaches others to demonstrate culture and core values.

Qualifications : Required :

AWS cloud architecture and deployment practices

Existing Account Management : Connects regularly with stakeholders and clients to confirm priorities, present progress, and request feedback.

People Development & Team Leadership : Identifies and encourages growth opportunities for team members beyond expected goals and discusses in 1 : 1s.

Understands strengths of others to utilize as resources for specific tasks

Uses effective techniques (status, etc.) to monitor progress of team.

Motivates and coaches team members to accomplish team objectives through constructive feedback.

Coaches others to demonstrate culture and core values.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship by North Highland.

Preferred :

3+ years of client delivery and management experience, delivering smaller to medium-sized projects and leading high-performing teams

Bachelor's Degree within the Business or Technology field (or 2+ additional years of experience)

Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders, including clients, technology partners, consultants, and peers

Excellent communication skills and management presence, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely

Strategic thinker with a keen eye for identifying business opportunities and anticipating client needs

Command of multiple consulting domains such as business transformation, change management, data & analytics, and product engineering

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in changing client environments

Proficiency in industry-specific tools and technologies (e.g., Azure cloud, infrastructure-as-code, server and virtualization management, cloud migration and optimization strategies, project management tools, AWS services, network systems, etc.)

Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, ITIL, etc.) are a plus
