Grant And Contract Administrator Ii
In support of the university's overall research mission, this position requires an unwavering commitment to service and excellence in a deadline-driven environment. The Grant And Contract Administrator Ii ensures compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, as well as sponsor requirements, including the application of OMB's Uniform Guidance, and is responsible for submitting federal and non-federal research and grant applications through electronic portals or other means, with or without inflexible deadlines. The Gca Ii is an integral part of the research administration community.
Duties / Responsibilities
(75%) Assists with the preparation of the standard components, including budget development, of grant applications for the Usnh community. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all grant-related materials to meet proposal deadlines. Reviews and completes representations, certifications, and other documents. Reviews proposal packages for compliance with sponsor, federal, and university requirements. Submits proposals electronically using applicable submission portals by stated deadline. Cultivates an exceptional work environment by consistently putting forth an optimistic attitude, a willingness to help others, and an excellent work ethic.
(20%) Utilizes institutional electronic systems, Cayuse, Workday and Team Dynamics. Provides informational assistance to Spa colleagues, principal investigators, and others, as needed. Provides back-up support to other Pre-award Compliance team members. Manages projects and other tasks assigned by supervisor.
(5%) Attends regular meetings, training sessions and professional development workshops / seminars to keep current on policies and procedures relevant to position responsibilities, as requested and approved by supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience : Bachelor's degree in a field related to finance or business, and 3 years of direct experience in sponsored projects administration, budgeting, or related field. Or, 8 years of direct experience in sponsored projects administration.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Excellent oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of the administrative components of a proposal, including understanding of standard proposal requirements, terms and conditions, budget development, and resource requirements (e.g., biosketches, C&P, COI). Analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience researching and identifying solutions. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
