🏥 Travel RN - ICU / ER Float\n📍 Location : Sacramento, CA\n\nStart Date : 🗓 October 14 ONLY (No exceptions)\n\n🔄 Assignment Overview : \nCategory\tDetails\nUnit(s)\tPrimary : ICU (8-bed)\nWill float to ER – experience in both required\nShifts\t12 -hour days / nights – 07 : 00–19 : 30 / 19 : 00–07 : 30\nReport is bedside\nScheduling\tSelf -scheduling, finalized by manager\nSchedules out 4 weeks\nOT & extra shifts available\nWeekend Requirement\tEvery other weekend\nHoliday Requirement\tRotate with core staff\nScrub Color\tNavy (undershirts : navy, white, or black; jackets optional, navy only)\n\nCharge nurses acceptable\n\nPRN via external staffing agencies is acceptable\n\n🧠 Relias DYS Exam (Required Before Offer Acceptance) : \n\nMust be completed within 24–48 hours of offer\n\n2 attempts allowed : \n\nTest A first\n\nTest B for retake if needed\n\nPass / fail\n\nScreenshot of attempt count is required\n\nIf failed twice : Candidate becomes DNU for CommonSpirit AZ & Sacramento\n\nPreviously passed Relias Dys exam within last 12 months is acceptable\n\n🩺 Clinical Requirements & Unit Details : \nExperience Required\tMinimum 2 years ICU experience + ER experience\nCertifications\tBLS, ACLS, NIHSS (PALS preferred)\nPatient Ratio\t1 : 1 – 1 : 2\nTelemetry\tYes – must be able to read & interpret EKG strips\nVents\tYes\nHospitalist / Intensivist\tYes, in-house\nNurse Aides\tYes, based on census\nCharge Nurse\tYes – usually non-patient care, but may help with break relief\nRT & Pharmacy\tAvailable 24 / 7\nOrientation\t1 –2 days on the floor with a preceptor\nEMR\tCerner\nLayout\tHorseshoe layout; PACU adjacent to ICU\n\n🏥 Floating Expectations : \n\nMay float to all other CommonSpirit Sacramento facilities\n\nMid-shift float is rare, but possible\n\n🦠 COVID-19 Vaccine Policy : \n\nMedical declination : Allowed with physician’s note\n\nReligious declination : Allowed, no documentation required\n\n🩺 Common Diagnoses / Patients : \n\nMedical ICU conditions\n\nStable patient load in a well-supported, traveler-friendly ICU
