Coding Quality Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Quality Specialist (Inpatient / Outpatient Facility).

Key Responsibilities

Perform complex retrospective analysis of medical records to identify coding and billing errors

Provide second-level review of codes to ensure compliance with legal and procedural policies

Maintain QA percentages within internal quality goals and assist in improving coder productivity

Required Qualifications

Recognized coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC; CPC or CCS preferred

5-7 years of experience coding and / or auditing in an acute care facility or clinic

Familiarity with hospital outpatient billing processes and coding guidelines

Experience with electronic medical records systems preferred

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
