Staff Accountant

Continental Properties is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team at our home office in Menomonee Falls, WI. Under the supervision of the Construction Accounting Manager, you will support the construction draw process and also perform general bookkeeping while maintaining responsibility for the financial statements, general ledgers, and balance sheet reconciliations. We are embracing a hybrid working environment and you can work both in the office and from home but will need to be available to work in the office 3 days per week.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Provide support for the construction draw process for ongoing construction projects including the gathering of documentation to ensure that the process is performed promptly.
• Communicate with project managers, lenders, vendors and external parties to manage draw requests and requirements.
• Prepare journal entries, data entry and posting, on a monthly basis, to ensure integrity of the general ledger and financial statements.
• Maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
• Analyze revenues, expenses, assets, and liabilities to ensure accounting is applied to projects under construction.
• Support the month-end closing process to ensure seamless close out.
• Provide support for the preparation and presentation of financial reports for the corporation including quarterly consolidated financial statements.
• Help provide documentation for the annual interim and year-end audit.

Final compensation is based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range does not include bonus potential or other forms of compensation and benefits. Salary Range : $65,000 - $80,000
