Job Summary

The Principal Analytics Consultant role offers an exciting opportunity in Medical Economics to work collaboratively with cross-functional business partners to analyze and interpret complex data, identify key trends, develop models, and deliver actionable insights that drive measurable results. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic, collaborative mindset, paired with strong technical acumen, data management expertise, and advanced reporting skills to support and enhance both existing and emerging analytic capabilities.

Required Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field OR Master's degree with 6 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field OR PhD with 4 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field OR 12 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field

Understanding, and being highly proficient at querying a wide variety of internal and external data sources to get meaningful insights.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in computer languages, such as SQL, Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, Python, R, etc.

Ability to create a dynamic and visually engaging dashboard leveraging data visualization tools such as Tableau (preferred) or Power BI, SSRS.

High degree of business intelligence and understanding how to take a business case from inception to customer or partner execution.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to lead multiple analytic related projects in parallel.

Analytics subject matter expert.

Performance excellence in championing initiatives and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to bring the initiative to life.

Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality output to senior leadership for decision-making within short timelines.

Preferred Job Qualifications

Experience with Utilization Management data (e.g., authorizations, appeals, grievances)

Experience with DCMS healthcare data (e.g., MMR, Claims Eligibility, Provider)

Experience with CMS payment methodologies (e.g., IPPS, OPPS, etc.)

Familiarity with medical and pharmacy claims. ICD10, DRG, APC, HCPCS, and / or CPT

This is a Flex (Hybrid) role : 3 days in office; 2 days work from home.

Base Pay Range : $100,000.00 - $180,700.00
